At Camelot, we take pride in creating an environment where our people can bring their whole selves to work. To help achieve this, we make sure our people have internal networks that they can join to not only offer them the support they need, but also to help drive change and improve our working environment.
We currently have six communities. These are open to anyone and offer a safe space to discuss anything from global issues to personal feelings. Our communities also work together to recognise days in our cultural calendar, such as International Women’s Day, as well as organise internal events that drive awareness and engagement across all of Camelot.
Here’s a little introduction to each of the communities…
The community responsible for all things LGBT+, from organising events that raise awareness of LGBT+ terminology, to making sure our internal policies are reflective of all genders and sexual orientations. This group of people play a huge part in supporting and recognising diversity at Camelot. This community isn’t just formed by individuals who identify as LGBT+, but also allies who are keen to offer their support and influence.
The network who are passionate about issues that affect women, both inside and outside of the workplace. As a community, they create an inclusive space to share ideas, offer support and, ultimately, make sure that the women of Camelot feel content. The Women’s Network also produce content and organise company-wide events to raise awareness of women’s history, as well as challenges that women still face to this day.
Balancing working and parenting is no easy task - which is why this network was formed to offer the parents of Camelot a way to support each other. Whether it’s a concern to share, advice for new parents, or a school holiday activity suggestion - this group has each other’s backs!
Camelot is a diverse company, with people from an array of cultures and backgrounds. This is extremely important to recognise and celebrate - and that’s exactly what this community does. The network focuses on fostering an environment where voices of different cultures and races can be heard, whilst also offering a safe space to share concerns and build relationships.
Mental Health First Aiders
Mental health is just as important as physical health, which is why we have a team of 14 Mental Health First Aiders across Camelot. These amazing individuals are always on hand for a conversation, no problem is too big or small to share with them. As a group, they also work together to raise awareness of mental health issues and offer signposting to support those that need it.
