Our Responsibilities Basis of reporting

We have engaged Deloitte LLP (Deloitte) to carry out limited assurance of a selection of corporate responsibility key performance indicators (CR KPIs) in our Stakeholder Report 2011 (the Report).

This assurance was carried out in accordance with ISAE3000, to ensure that our CR KPIs are not materially misstated in transposition from data collected. The CR KPIs cover the period 1st April 2010 – 31st March 2011, and were published online in November 2011.

You will find Deloitte’s assurance report outlining the assurance scope and their limited assurance conclusion in the next section of this website.

Key performance indicators
The CR KPIs reported every year in the Report have been selected because they are considered material to business and regulatory requirements. They cover at least 80% of our operations. All data is verified internally against agreed criteria and then provided to Deloitte for assurance.

The aim of our reporting processes is to provide data that is complete, accurate and relevant to our operations and not materially misstated. If any data is subsequently found to be in error after reporting, this will be clearly indicated in the next report and the data re-stated for the purposes of baselines and trend analysis.

Below we provide the definitions and basis of reporting for the assured key performance indicators.
