Our Responsibilities Our Stakeholder Report 2010/11
Camelot is one of the world's leading lottery companies, creating and operating responsible games which entertain millions of players, while raising money for good causes that benefit society as a whole.
Benefiting society through play
We operate the UK's National Lottery, which raised more than £1.66 billion for good causes in 2010-11. The National Lottery has become one of the most trusted brands in the UK marketplace, and our games can be played through our network of more than 28,800 retailers as well as online and by text.
While The National Lottery is our core business, the skills and reputation we have developed as a responsible and innovative lottery operator have created opportunities to grow our business internationally. Through our subsidiary companies, we explore the commercial applications of gaming technology and provide consultative and support services to lotteries around the world.
In the UK and elsewhere, we design new games, develop and market new lottery products, and provide services for players and winners. Our National Lottery games include Lotto, Lotto HotPicks, Dream Number, Thunderball, Daily Play and EuroMillions – as well as National Lottery Scratchcards and online Instant Win Games.
We believe that lotteries create the greatest benefit for society when they are operated as responsibly and efficiently as possible – and we are proud of our reputation for running trusted games that produce the maximum in social good.
