Our Responsibilities Our community

Camelot employees performing voluntary environmental activies

Our people are encouraged to demonstrate Camelot’s values by contributing to their local communities.

By volunteering and organising fundraising events and team challenges, not only do charitable causes benefit, but there is an overall improvement to our employees’ wellbeing and pride in working for Camelot.

We actively promote employee volunteering by allowing four hours of work time per month to volunteer time to help a charity or voluntary group – we allow the time to be used on a regular basis but it can also be used for a one-off project.

An initiative called Team Camelot was launched in 2010 which helps employees get involved in community activities. Team Camelot has its own forum on the corporate intranet which profiles employee community investment and engagement activities, provides a calendar of events and celebrates employee achievements.

We also offer Match Funding to all employees who take part in a sponsored event to raise money for a charitable cause of their choice. Camelot will match fund up to £750 per person a year, or £4,500 for a group event with six employees or more.

Camelot equally values the importance of supporting local and national charities. For the year 2010/2011, we have committed to a partnership with Marie Curie Cancer Care, in which we have pledged to raise money on the charity’s behalf through a variety of initiatives.
