Together, our sales team support 46,000 retailers across the UK. They play their part in helping Camelot raise a massive amount to good causes AND creating 8 million winner every single week. They even get out there themselves and spend days volunteering in the local community.
Even though we’re a huge operation and have been doing what we do for over 20 years, the Retail Sales team are also at the start of a very exciting and brand new journey in becoming even better, bigger and more innovative.
Because our retailer network spans far and wide from Inverness to Cornwall and everything in between, our sales team are home based and spend lots of time out in the field amongst their local area managing their territories.
Having the freedom to manage their own days and being based in their local community out there making face to face relationships with their retailers is super important. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of a great team. Whilst the team work really autonomously being part of a team is in their DNA.
Each team is part of a region and they stay connected on a daily basis sharing strategy, stories, photos and what all great sales people love to talk about - numbers! They stay closely connected in their teams the wider sales team at Camelot catch up regularly through team meetings and conferences.
Our last conference held at The Belfrey in Oxford spanned over two days and covered everything from aligning objectives, to understanding retailers, the bigger picture, getting to know you, to a series of useful workshops. The evening festivities after Day 1, also went down a treat!
Working autonomously works for our Retail Sales team, but staying close to each other and close to the business is crucial for success - after all ‘Teamwork makes the dreamwork’
