Hi, I’m Radhika, I’m an People Assistant working in the People Business Partner Team. I joined Camelot in December 2016, originally working in the People Operations Team.
What did you do before joining Camelot?
Before Camelot, I worked as an People Coordinator at a boutique executive search firm in London where I was the only person in the People Department so it got quite lonely! When I saw the role at Camelot, I couldn’t say no as it was a great opportunity to develop working within an actual People Team.
What made you want to work in a people focused role?
Nothing in particular, I kind of fell into HR to be honest. I guess what makes me want to carry on working in the People team is being able to solve problems and support people.
What has been your Camelot highlight so far?
All of the quirky events and competitions the company organises e.g. walking through reception and picking prizes out of a bucket to celebrate a new game launch or the royal wedding afternoon tea party. These little things make Camelot a unique and fun place to work.
How has working at Camelot helped you to develop personally and professionally?
Working at Camelot has definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone and has enabled me to deliver some great work while adding to my skill set and working with talented people who I have learnt so much from.
What makes you proud to work for Camelot?
The fact that we raise so much money for Good Causes and the ability this has to change people’s lives - making extraordinary things happen!
How do you love to spend your free time?
Spending time with my pets to get my daily dose of animal therapy and when I can pull myself away I try and go to the gym in between to keep fit.
What’s the craziest thing on your bucket list?
Dog Sledding in Canada (not really crazy but at the top of my bucket list!).
What would your last meal be?
Pasta! I love Italian food, anything with garlic and parmesan cheese!
Where is next on your travel list and why?
Asia, I really want to experience the food and culture. I’d like to start with Thailand.
If you could click your fingers and suddenly have a new talent, what would it be and why?
The ability to read people’s minds because it would make my job a lot easier at times!
