Meet Procurement.

We are not your typical Procurement team Camelot the Procurement team, due to its size and number of resources, operates under a decentralised model.

What we do

We work with all departments across the Camelot Group to advise, guide and support on any and all types of purchases. We provide professional procurement support that helps colleagues find and appoint suppliers who will deliver goods and / or services which meet their business needs. The scope of the services offered includes supplier sourcing, preparing and running tender exercises, eAuctions, commercial negotiations and supplier dispute resolution. We also assist our Legal colleagues in contractual negotiations, to ensure that appropriate contracts are put in place to minimise any risk to Camelot.

Our responsibilities

We are responsible for ensuring that our people procure all goods and services in line with the Group Procurement and Tendering Policy, that contracts are signed in accordance with the Group Contracts Policy and where applicable, that the business abides by our regulatory obligations when it comes to the identification and management of certain suppliers (e.g. Key Licensee Sub-contractors (KLS)).

We provide the procurement related support to help colleagues as mentioned above, but do not (like other Procurement teams you may have worked with in other companies) hold any budgets, raise any POs or directly manage any suppliers. Those activities are the responsibility of the departmental teams who have asked for a particular supplier to be appointed.

We are currently only a small team of two but you'll find us sitting with our colleagues from the wider Finance team. Sandip also plays a key role in organising the infamous Samosa afternoon - one of the Finance department's favourite socials!
