Our insight team makes sure everyone has the numbers they need to know – and the detail behind them. They map, measure and analyse the data that helps fuel innovation and drive commercial decisions across the business.

We generated more than £7 billion in revenue last year, so our finance team are used to thinking big while sweating the small details. We have eight different specialist teams including Business Assurance, Commercial Finance, Games and Financial Accounting, Finance Operations, Tax, Process Governance, Procurement and security Operations.

As a games business, we couldn’t do without our tech gurus. From the team that delivers all the National Lottery draws to our gaming systems and security specialists, they enable us to run and grow our business.

Whether it’s coming up with a compelling proposition for a new game or telling stories of winners created and good causes supported, our Commercial team makes sure it’s driven by the consumer insights that matter. 



We split sales into two: national account team works closely with major high-street stores to develop new business opportunities, while retail team is our guys and gals on the ground for around 44,000 National Lottery retail partners.

Customer Operations

Home to our call centre, customer operations puts us in direct touch with our customers, retailers and regulators. We handled more than 1.5 million calls in 2015 across The National Lottery line, Retailer Line and Direct Line.

Regulatory Affairs

We want to change lives by raising as much money as we can for Good Causes in a responsible way. Doing that successfully means building – and maintaining – good relationships with key political stakeholders and our regulator, the Gambling Commission.

More than 97% of orders that leave the distribution centre are delivered the next day. That success rate is down to our 40 strong distribution team. An average week sees them sending out more than 28,000 orders.

Our team of eight legal eagles are involved in almost every aspect of our business: negotiating contracts, reviewing games rules, protecting intellectual property and, of course, helping out if things go wrong.

Corporate Affairs

From telling the stories of winners and Good Causes to engaging with key stakeholders, our Corporate Affairs team is responsible for enhancing and protecting the reputation of Camelot and The National Lottery – including contributing to our company strategy, and bringing together all external communications and public affairs initiatives.
