A plumber and his wife from Washington, Tyne and Wear, could barely touch their Boxing Day family dinner after they scooped a massive £3,581,481 jackpot prize on the Christmas Day Lotto draw.

Galashiels plumbers’ merchant syndicate tap into latest Lotto win

A syndicate of staff from the Galashiels branch of Graham’s Plumbers’ Merchants and some of their close friends has scooped a £927,429 share of the Lotto jackpot. The syndicate were one of five ticket-holders who matched six numbers in the draw on Saturday 11 December 2010 to share the £4,637,145 jackpot.
