
As the operator of The National Lottery, we have a big impact on society – our games are played on a regular basis by around 70% of the UK adult population and over £25milion is raised for Good Causes every week. Our success is dependent on the involvement of many different groups, so stakeholder engagement is a central part of our activities. It defines our ideas about responsibility and is, deeply embedded in how we do business on a day-to-day basis.
We believe it is essential that we get the process of talking and responding to stakeholders right. We base our approach on the AA1000 principles and use the AA1000AS Assurance Standard to make sure our reporting processes and stakeholder engagement is effective and transparent.
