    We work with more than 26,200 retailers and consult them extensively as we prepare for the next lottery Licence. We are committed to maintaining a fair balance of large stores such as supermarkets and smaller convenience stores, reflecting the general retail market.

    We need to have strong, trusted and fair relationships with our suppliers in order to ensure we fulfil our role of maximising returns to Good Causes in a responsible manner. We talk with them regularly and constantly look for ways to make our relationships work better.

  • Shareholders Shareholders

    Our five shareholders are all represented on the Camelot Board. We want to make it easier for all of them to support us in running our business efficiently and in a responsible way.

As Camelot prepares for the challenges of the new lottery Licence, the relationships we have with our retailers, suppliers and shareholders need to be stronger than ever. As part of the transition to the third Licence we are working to build on the trust and fairness of those relationships. We have involved them throughout this critical period for the lottery as we prepare our innovative plans for the future. We also believe we have a role to play in helping our business partners operate responsibly and manage their environmental impacts.

Retail is the biggest sales channel for The National Lottery and will continue to be in the next Licence period. We currently work with more than 26,200 retailers and will expand that number to 27,500 in the next Licence. Maintaining a good working relationship with all our retail partners is a priority for us if we are to continue to raise as much money as we can for Good Causes in a socially responsible way. Running a complex operation like The National Lottery depends on close relationships with a broad range of suppliers. We used around 800 suppliers last year and their engagement is essential if we are to continue to ensure that the lottery is a world-beater. We work hard to offer them a secure and dependable business relationship, particularly as we prepare for the challenges of the next lottery Licence. Our annual survey of suppliers produced its highest ever response rate and showed that 97% of our suppliers are satisfied with their overall relationship with us. Read more about our suppliers.

Our five shareholders are all represented on the Camelot Board and one of them also supplies us with specialist services to help us run the lottery. They were fully supportive of our third Licence bid and have doubled their investment for the new Licence period.
